Inclusive Education: An International Perspective

09.10.2019

Am 9. Jänner 2020 findet im Kleinen Festsaal der Universität Wien eine Tagung mit dem Titel "Inclusive Education: An International Perspective" statt.

One of the largest reforms in the school systems of European countries and worldwide is inclusive schooling. All over the world enrollment of students with special educational needs (SEN) in regular classrooms is rising and at the same time the proportion of students with SEN in segregated school settings is declining (in most countries). Despite a significant push to implement inclusive education across countries, its practical implementation is limited in most of the countries. There are huge variations across countries in the way they are attempting to implement inclusion in the region as well as unique challenges that each country faces.

This conference aims at giving insights into inclusive education in several different countries. Keynote speeches will be given by three well-known international researchers.

Participants are welcome to register for the conference (deadline 10.12.2020). Participation is free of charge.
