New project, new opportunities: MultiLAwa offers 14 PhD positions in multilingualism and digitalisation

The project “MultiLAwa – Multilingual Language Awareness in the European Digital Society” has officially been approved for funding under Horizon Europe within the MSCA Doctoral Networks – Joint Doctorates scheme. Together with nine other European universities, the University of Vienna will be part of this international consortium.

As part of the project, which focuses on Language Awareness (LA), plurilingualism and multilingualism, and digital transformation, 14 EU-funded PhD positions will be created. The application period starts on 20 May 2026, and the PhD thesis projects are scheduled to begin in November 2026.

Applications will be accepted until July 14, 2026.
