Assoz. Prof. Mag. Dr. Marko Lüftenegger, Privatdoz.

Marko Lüftenegger heads the Department of Developmental and Educational Psychology of School Age at the Centre for Teacher Education and the Faculty of Psychology at the University of Vienna. His research and teaching is interdisciplinary and takes place at the interface between education, psychology and society. Among other things, he deals with motivational and emotional conditions of teaching and learning as well as the development and evaluation of measures and programmes.

Marko Lüftenegger researches and teaches with a focus on the evaluation of educational measures as well as the development and promotion of motivation and emotions in educational contexts and the development and evaluation of measures.


Flora Fassl, BSc BEd MSc

Flora Fassl studied both teaching (English, psychology and philosophy) and psychology at the University of Vienna. She is currently a research assistant (Prae-Doc) in the project "Envy and Schadenfreude in the Context of School", which is funded by the Austrian Science Fund FWF. In her dissertation, she investigates envy in the school context and its relationship to social comparison, the impostor phenomenon and well-being.


Maximilian Hofleitner, MSc

Maximilian Hofleitner completed his Master's degree in Psychology 2022 at the University of Vienna. Since November 2022, he has been a project staff member (Prae Doc) at the Centre for Teacher Education and is writing his dissertation as part of the FWF project "Envy and Schadenfreude in the Context of Schools" with a special focus on the antecedents and consequences of Schadenfreude in the school environment. He is also working on the interplay between humour and discrimination as well as the role of internet memes in the development and consolidation of stereotypes.


Sina Ludwig, BSc MSc

Sina Ludwig completed her psychology degree at the University of Vienna in 2024. She is currently a research assistant (Prae Doc) working in the project "100 schools – 1000 opportunities" and is writing her dissertation as part of this project.


Martin Mayerhofer, BEd MEd

Martin Mayerhofer completed the teacher training programme in Computer Science and Mathematics at the University of Vienna in 2020. He teaches Computer Science at a secondary school, is part of the outreach project "Mathematik macht Freude" at the Faculty of Mathematics, and is involved in the project "100 schools  1000 opportunities" at the Centre for Teacher Education. In his dissertation project, he examines the development of aspirations and the motivation to take a university degree in STEM fields at several stages in adolescents' educational careers.

 


Joy Muth, BSc MSc

Joy Muth, BSc MSc studied psychology at the University of Vienna until 2019. She wrote her master's thesis on "The effect of testosterone on social choice preferences in a repeated competition game" in the focus area "Mind and Brain". Since 2021, she has been a doctoral student at the Centre for Teacher Education at the University of Vienna, where she is writing her thesis on "Teaching to the test in Austrian secondary schools".


Melanie Sticha, BEd BSc MEd

Melanie Sticha completed her teacher training (maths, psychology and philosophy) and studies psychology at the University of Vienna. She is currently working as a research assistant (pre-doc) on the "100 schools  1000 opportunities" project at the Centre for Teacher Education.

 



Marlene Sabine Breit, BSc

Marlene Sabine Breit, is studying Psychology in the Master's programme at the University of Vienna. She is currently working as a tutor for the lecture Individual and Developmental Psychology of Education and Learning. 

Victoria Nuculovic, BA

Victoria Nuculovic is studying psychology and sociology at the University of Vienna. In addition to her work as a research assistant at the Faculty of Psychology, she is currently also working as a project research assistant on the FWF project "Envy and Schadenfreude in the Context of School".

Sarah Riegler, BSc

Sarah Riegler is currently studying psychology at the University of Vienna. She is working as a project research assistant in the project "100 schools – 1000 opportunities".

Alina Wunsch, BSc

Alina Wunsch is studying Psychology in the Master's programme at the University of Vienna. She works as a study assistant and tutor for the lecture Individual and Developmental Psychological Foundations of Education and Learning.
