Mapping Community Involvement and Support for Inclusive Education (MAP_INC)

This project aims to explore formal and informal communal and institutional support structures for children and youth with disabilities’ education in Indonesia and Austria. Of main interest are institutional frameworks and how these are influenced by (lacking) social welfare, policies or resources. Little research has targeted the role of additional support staff, their availabilities, provision, backgrounds and training in formal and non-formal education settings. The project’s main goal is to explore the layout, contextualization and role of (communal) actors, their networking, (further) training and more general contexts that aim to tackle lacks in formalized provision of education, both in formal and informal education settings.
